To design a water garden in Carlisle to transform a flat lifeless corner into a stunning tumbling split stream spilling into a beached pond. It's an example of how such a small space can become full of interest and mesmerising sights, and all in the space of just two weeks!
A key early decision was to not remove an overhanging lilac tree and to integrate it within the overall garden design. It's given the tumbling streams an authentic look of running through the trees as in nature and provided a focal point for the planting scheme to work from.
The planting scheme surrounding the pond and throughout the rockery will mature and spread over time and the integrated gravel patio area with swing sweat provides the perfect place to watch it all unfold. A great start to the 2019 summer projects and again the ideal inspiration for bringing any size space to life with a water garden design.
