Water Garden and Patio

The Brief

To design and build a new stream and pond, integrated with a new mosaic patio. The overall design had to reflect the stunning natural surroundings and overcome a challenging site with very little gradient.

The Concept

For the water feature we had the challenge of creating waterfalls which looked natural in a setting with very little slope. We created height in the corner where the stream begins which enabled some larger falls which look great coming from the corner. The stream then winds through a stepping stone crossing and alongside the mosaic patio edge, a real challenge on levels!

We love the pond waterfall entrance, it’s a fantastic feature entrance which has been wedged between two ‘guard’ stones, looking so natural. The feature finishes with a lovely natural mountain pool where a lower water level enabled us to create the waterfalls higher up the stream.

The new mosaic patio is the place to relax and enjoy the new water feature. It’s a beautiful piece of work itself, with each piece hand-picked and dressed on site and the overall shape mirrors the curves of the water feature.
